Description
The Paradigm Rock Monitor 60‑SM is a discreet, landscape‑friendly outdoor speaker designed to deliver clear, natural sound while blending effortlessly into garden and patio environments.
Styled to resemble a realistic stone, it allows high‑quality audio to be enjoyed outdoors without visible speakers, preserving the beauty of your outdoor space.
At its core, the Rock Monitor 60‑SM uses a coaxial driver configuration, combining a durable woofer and integrated tweeter to produce balanced midrange clarity and crisp high frequencies. The wide dispersion pattern ensures even sound coverage across open areas, making it ideal for background music along walkways, garden beds, and seating areas.
Built for long‑term outdoor performance, the enclosure is crafted from UV‑resistant, weather‑sealed materials that withstand sun exposure, rain, dust, and temperature fluctuations. The rugged design protects internal components year‑round while maintaining a natural stone appearance that disappears seamlessly into landscaping.
The Rock Monitor 60‑SM is designed for surface‑mount or ground placement, offering flexible installation options and easy integration with standard outdoor amplifiers and distributed audio systems. Used on its own or as part of a multi‑speaker setup, it delivers consistent, pleasant sound throughout exterior living spaces.
Outdoor Speaker – Single speaker system with stereo L/R inputs, 3-driver, 2 x 2-way coaxially mounted high-frequency drivers, weather, water, UV-resistant sealed enclosure, self draining fissures.
These high-performance single-speaker systems provide two channels of L/R sound outdoors. Their Dual-Directional Soundfield™ — two tweeters, each offset at a 30° angle—and twin voice coil bass/midrange driver ensure extremely wide dispersion, a particularly important consideration outdoors where there are no walls or ceiling to contain sound.
Rock Monitors are ideal in small outdoor areas less suited to a stereo pair of speakers (Fig. 1) or where a single speaker is preferred. In large, or unusually shaped areas, multiple rock speakers can be used to eliminate sound imbalances that occur with stereo sound as people move around or are seated closer to one speaker than the other (Fig. 2).
