Redesigned Power Transformer
In pursuit of dynamic expression, the CX-A5200 employs a large, redesigned power transformer to maximise the performance of the new ESS DAC.
Deep and powerful sound is achieved with enhanced regulation of power while a thick brass plate dampens unwanted vibrations from the transformer on surrounding circuitry.
Balanced Connections and High-quality XLR Terminals
Electrical noise is an inherent issue with cabling due to connection with other AV components, the connections between them and from other sources of external noise.
To ensure that the CX-A5200 is not affected by this distortion, it uses balanced connections that are highly noise resistant - the same type as generally used in professional audio equipment.
Even the RCA unbalanced connection uses a ground sensing transmission method that achieves simple balanced transmission.
XLR terminals allow for the use of long cables.
The CX-A5200 also allows balanced audio input connection to high-end source components such as CD players.
Designed for Dolby Atmos
Yamaha provides multiple placement patterns for presence speakers that support Dolby Atmos - creating a sound field that’s ideal for your setup.

Ultimate Performance with BTL
To further enhance power capacity, the MX-A5200 supports Bridge Tied Load (BTL) configuration for the front 2 channels. This allows for a major improvement to the front speaker performance.
Uncompromising Design
As part of its uncompromising design, the MX-A5200 boasts a specially designed chassis to maximise rigidity and eliminate the effects of vibration.
The MX-A5200 employs a double bottom construction consisting of vibration control plates made of 1.6 mm steel - echoing that of the legendary Z11 AV receiver.
In order to support the heavy heat sinks and other components, a left-right independent construction strengthened by a rigid-frame structure is utilised. The bottom frame reduces the transmission of vibration produced by the large power supply transformer and heat sinks.
The MX-A5200 also incorporates a heavy insulator that blocks external vibration.
Perfectly Symmetrical
Precisely planned, circuit-routed and designed with a symmetrical power amplifier layout, the MX-A5200 achieves ideal channel separation with left and right sides being both physically and electrically isolated.
The design also greatly improves signal-to-noise ratio and achieves an expansive sound stage.
Effortless Performance
The MX-A5200 utilises a high-output, large toroidal transformer combined with 2 specially developed high-capacity block capacitors to deliver massive power with generous headroom.
Also, energy loss is minimised and ensures effortless reproduction of sound sources.
Superior Connection
The rear of the MX-A52000 features high-quality, gold-plated terminals that are compatible with Y plugs (spade connectors) for optimal connections with speakers.
Balanced XLR Connections
When connecting AV components, electrical noise can be introduced - a result of the connections between them and also from other sources of external noise.
To combat this inherent issue, the MX-A5200 utilizes balanced connections for all 11-channels - the same type found in professional audio applications.
Additionally, the alternative RCA unbalanced connection uses a ground sensing transmission method that achieves simple balanced transmission.
